Announces the Oglebay CLE/Golf Open VIII

Open to All Members of the Parma Bar Association
The location: Oglebay Resort: Oglebay Resort is in Wheeling West Virginia, a drive of 2 ½ to 3 hours from Cleveland. It includes many amenities in addition to golf. The CLE: there will be 5 hours of CLE taking place on Friday and Saturday mornings. The CLE will be taught/facilitated by Judge Spanagel (retired) of the Parma Municipal Court and others. The exact times each day and the topics will be determined.
The Golf: Oglebay Resort is renowned for its three courses, two of which will be played- the Arnold Palmer designed course, and the Robert Trent Jones designed course. Thursday will be golf on the Jones Couse, which covers 6,046 yards. All attendees will golf on their own at Jones on Thursday, with tee times beginning at 12:06 PM. Scoring will be Callaway System, for first-day awards. After Thursday’s round, selections will be made based upon scores for what will be a 4-person scramble on Friday, on the Palmer Course, which plays at 5,515 yards, with tee times beginning at 1:00 PM. After Friday’s round, scores for the two days will be combined to flight all golfers for what will be a DRAFT of the teams for a Saturday four-person Scramble, again on Jones, starting at 1:09 P.M. The Chances to Win: it is projected that there will be a prize pool of $2,500 (based on total attendance) to be awarded over the three days of golf. All levels of golfing skill will have opportunities to win prizes!!!!!
THE PRICE: $750.00, WHICH INCLUDES:
3 Nights lodging in deluxe golf cottages, or couples in Main Lodge (subject to availability)
3 days greens fees and carts, and golf prizes
Buffet Breakfasts on Friday and Saturday, and Banquet Saturday night at Lodge
Cookout Thursday night at the cottages, and Top Shelf Steak Dinner Friday night at the cottages

NOTE TO WOMEN MEMBERS: All members, including Women members are welcome;
HOWEVER, for Proper accommodations for you ladies, registrations will be accepted on an even numbered basis for
Cottage Room assignments UNLESS you are a couple (i.e., Significant Others, Husband and Wife, or Friends)) Lodge rooms are possibly available .
CANCELLATIONS AND WAITING LIST: As we must do this by foursomes, in a perfect world, read terms and conditions.
NON-GOLFING SPOUSES/SIGS: if a spouse/sig is not a golfer, then he/she can attend for rate of $450.00, which includes all except golf (if couple does not want to do steak and/or banquet, they may do so, with a rate adjustment to be determined by the Committee.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
SPACE AVAILABILITY: We currently have a commitment from Oglebay for 24 golfers plus spouses/sigs.
In cottages, they have advised us that although there may be additional space, that space may also be limited.
As a result, EARLY REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED! The Committee will use its best efforts to enable all registrants to attend.
WOMEN MEMBERS: As noted, for proper room arrangements, women will be accepted.
on a basis of even numbers, unless registrants are Spouses, Significant Others, or Friends. You will
retain your place on any waiting list and will be placed on the list as even numbers as Foursome numbers evolve.
WAITING LISTS: As this is by foursomes, we will accept registrations as they are received. If necessary, there will be a waiting list of attendees if there are 1, 2, or 3 registrants (once we have four that is next foursome)
NON-MEMBER LAWYERS: We will accept registrations from non-member Lawyers, BUT they will be permitted on a space available basis once all members have been accommodated. This waiting list is separate from the previously noted waiting list but will be blended as necessary for attendees by fours.
DEPOSITS: Will be held by the Committee, and in the event of waiting list we will retain your check until accepted If not accepted, your check for deposit, whether partial or total will be returned. THIS YEAR PAYMENT MAY ALSO BE DONE ONLINE!
CANCELLATION: In the event of Cancellation there is NO REFUND ; HOWEVER, the Committee will attempt to replace you from the waiting list, if any; OR if you must cancel, and find a replacement yourself, contact the Master of the Open and we will work with you.
EARLY DEPARTURE: Should you wish to depart Saturday after golf, there is no adjustment in cost; HOWEVER, should you plan to depart Saturday, and will not be at the dinner, we would appreciate knowing that so we can give an appropriate meal count.
